Early in the morning, he sent all the demons and gave an order “All of you go to Dharmadev’s house and kill the child that has taken birth there.” On hearing this, all the demons came to Chhappaiya and started looking for Dharmadev’s house secretly. The demons were as black as charcoal with red-hot eyeballs, drawly teeth and ugly faces. They screamed scaring everyone as they ran towards Dharmadev’s place. They peeped into Dharmadev’s home and saw Bhaktimata feeding Balprabhu.
Slowly, the demons entered in the house. Shree Hanumanji who used to live together with Balprabhu saw the demons running away with Balprabhu. He leaped and caught the demons. He snatched Balprabhu away from them. He then got hold of the demon’s hair and tied them with his tail, which he started to hit on the ground with great force. He beat other demons by pulling their hair and hurling them in the air for a long time.
All the demons started to scream. When they all became helpless, they apologized to Shree Hanumanji crying, “Please forgive us, we shall never step in Chhappaiya again”. After pursuing for a long time Shree Hanumanji forgave them. All the demons ran away.
Shree Hanumanji brought Balprabhu back to Chhappaiya and handed him over to Bhaktimata.
Bowing to her, He said, “Your son is truly an incarnation pf God, and I am his devotee. When need arises, call me and I shall be present at once”. On saying this, he hugged Balprabhu. On receiving Balprabhu, Bhaktimata gave blessings to Shree Hanumanji.
The demons returned to Kalidatt and told him what had happened. The demons waved “We shall never return to Chhappaiya to kill Balprabhu, because of his devotee Hanumanji who almost beat us to death.” On hearing this, Kalidatt became extremely angry and sent the biggest demon by the name Kotra to kill Balprabhu. She went and stood in front of Balprabhu’s house. She waited for Balprabhu to be left alone; she started burning as soon as Balprabhu sighted her.
She struggled and screamed, “I’m burning… I am dying…” and she fell dead on the ground. On
seeing this, Dharmadev, Bhaktimata and other children got frightened. Bhaktimata lifted Balprabhu and placed Him in the cradle.
